Globe’s economic development services, led by members of the Institute of Economic Development and supported by our Chartered Town Planners, combines our considerable experience as development consultants with proven research and analytical skills. We have a reputation for the reliability and credibility of our work and Globe’s socio-economic research and survey output is no exception.
Analysis and interpretation of policy and data is a specialism of our team which, combined with an understanding of the requirements of developers, means we produce bespoke and focused reports that provide the information our clients need to inform their investment decisions, satisfy the requirements of the planning process, and progress their developments. The benefits of a strong grounding in the economic development profession ensures rigour within the information we use to support all of our work. Not all development and planning consultancies can offer this but, to us, it is an essential part of delivering demonstrably robust proposals and submissions.
We regularly produce reports, statements and evaluations as standalone pieces of work, in addition to alongside our broader town planning and project management services. Where there’s a need to assess the social and economic impact arising from development, Globe produces statements such as Statements of Economic Benefit and Health Impact Assessments in support of planning applications, as well as managing and contributing to Environmental Statements.
We provide advice and support to our private sector clients at the early stages of a scheme based on our detailed knowledge of the economic policies and priorities of councils. Globe is also experienced in working with clients to produce business plans and support funding applications, helping them progress their developments.
Globe are also experienced in delivering public and third sector interventions, with our experience ranging from long-term pan-uk research projects for the LSC/Skills Funding Agency to the delivery of ERDF funded business development programmes and supporting HLF bids. Globe’s approach means we are always focused on producing useful, accessible and clear information and effective, well managed work that delivers on the brief.
