The Brief

To gain planning permission to extend Kenwick Park Hotel, increasing the number of rooms by fourteen and enlarging the lounge and restaurant. Additionally, permission for seven Norwegian log cabins, and twelve holiday retreats were also applied for to improve the Hotel’s offer and ability to provide for the growing golf and pamper break market.

Our Role

Globe provided the client with planning advice for the proposal and prepared an integrated planning statement to support the planning application. Globe worked with other consultants to provide the necessary evidence and documentation for a cohesive development proposal. Detailed discussions were held with the local planning authority at a senior level to ensure a successful outcome could be achieved.

Outcomes

Full planning permission was gained, allowing the development to proceed and enhancing the business operation of Kenwick Park Hotel. With the much required increase in capacity granted, opportunities for numerous jobs and apprenticeships were created, further contributing to the economy of Louth and the surrounding area.
