Health Centre, Newgate Street, Bingham
Globe Consultants were appointed by the developer of the new health centre at Bingham, Nottinghamshire, to gain planning permission.
This site was selected after rigorous consideration of various alternative sites that might be able to meet the brief for the new health facilities. Having identified this site as the most sustainable and beneficial to all users, the job involved the coordination of the planning and design team to finalise draft development proposals and deliver community consultation. Once the team had taken on board the various comments and information offered through the consultation process the final proposal could be confirmed and our role focused on the preparation and submission of applications seeking planning permission for the new health facilities as well as Conservation Area Consent for the demolition of the historic cottage that previously occupied the site.
The two storey building was constructed in 2013 and provides a wide range of healthcare services for the local community, including family doctors, district nurses, health visitors and midwives. There are also more clinical rooms to meet the growing demands of Bingham’s population and a larger car park. Development cost in excess of £2million.
