Working with Neil Cawley RIBA, Globe has successfully secured planning permission for the conversion of a former beehive works to create an attractive residential scheme. The scheme will create 11 houses through conversion of the existing buildings on site, as well as three new modern houses. The site, in Wragby, Lincolnshire became available when the owners, EH Thorne Beehives Ltd relocated to larger premises. EH Thorne have a long history on the site and within the village so it was important for the scheme to retain a references to this heritage. However, a modern approach was taken to the design of the new houses whilst improvements to the original buildings as part of their conversion are also contemporary in style, complementing historic features where appropriate.
