Planning, economic development and cultural consultancy Globe have appointed Phil Scrafton as managing director with immediate effect.
Having carefully managed its way through the difficult trading conditions of recent years Globe Consultants is now increasingly confident about its future growth.
The appointment of Phil as managing director is a key part of the Globe’s commitment to making sure that we turn our aspirations into reality.
Since forming the current board in 2009, Globe’s three directors Russell Wallis, Steve Kemp and Phil Scrafton have been working jointly for the last five years to develop and manage the business but with increasing opportunities arising in the UK market we want to make the very best of Phil’s local profile and national contacts by putting him at the forefront of the business.
Hard on the heels of Phil’s appointment will be the establishment of a new Leeds office and a six month target to establish a third office base in London where Globe has maintained a client base since its formation in 2006, with planning application successes in Westminster, Barnet, Hackney, Brent and Enfield as well as in the suburbs around Gerrards Cross, South Bucks and the Chilterns.
Day to day Phil and Russell will continue to share most of the management responsibilities for Globe’s UK work, playing to their respective strengths, while Steve will maintain his focus on Globe Consultants International Ltd, building on recent successes securing contracts in the Caribbean.
