I took myself off to ‘BGfutures’ on the Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln campus last week to talk about the Lincolnshire Digital Business Cluster with BG’s Business Development Manager, Mark Bowen. I hadn’t been able to get to see the new building when it opened its doors in January so at the end of our meeting Mark showed me round the Futures Hub building. What a great new facility he’s managing.
Like me, Mark has a long term interest and involvement in social enterprises, so some of the office space and business support offered by BGfutures has been focused on that type of businesses, but the rest is now open to conventional micro-businesses. If you are looking to set up a new micro-business or need good meeting or conference space – with parking – in ‘up-hill’ Lincoln it would definitely be worth taking a look at the BGfutures website.
It was also great that our meeting identified a small group of digital businesses that are already in the facility or going through the application process. A couple have already been in touch to find out more about the Lincolnshire Digital Business Cluster and we hope they’ll be able to take a place on our one to one support programme.
Thanks Mark, it was really productive visit.
